We made it! The G.D.C.I. Vik-
ings defeated Spat>ford Central
last Wednesday afternoon by
the narrow margin of 6-3. John
Sheardown scored the single
Goderich touchdown, whiile fifty
loyal fans and the faithful cheer-
leaders braved the wind and
rain to take in the entire game.
Tuesday afternoon, about 350
Goderich fans _travelled to Wing -
ham to cheer the Vikings on as.
they met Whigham in the sud-
den -death final to d•eteiiminle the
Huron,Peith championship. At

Saturday ,the Senior girls- vol- .
leyball team took part in the
Huron -Perth tournament. Al-
though the girls playd'd well,
they were unable to • reach the
finals. Tuesday, the junior girls
travelled to Exeter to particip-
ate in their tournament. 4

• Christmas meeting when Rev.
R. U. MacLean will be the spec-
ial speaker. Mrs. John Hallam
and Mrs. Wilfred Sanderson Will
bring in the new slate of offic-
ers.
The memory of 'Mrs. John,
Houston, a life member of the
W.M.S. for many year+swas ob-
served. Mission study, work of
the church in Viet Nam, was
given by Mrs. Donald Haines.
Brenda Ball presided for the
Auburn C.G.1,T. meeting. A
hymn was sung with Betty Moss
at the piano. Margaret Young-
blut read Scripture. The min-
utes were read by the secretary,
Joyce Leatherland. ' Sheron Col-
lins gave the financial statement.
The offering was received by
Marie Plunkett. A Bible quiz
was conducted by Laura Phillips.
The making of gifts was.disouss-
ed and a sample was viewed by
the girls. '
