A funeral is to beheld to-
morrow at 2 p.in. at the Stiles
Funeral Heine for Mrs. Joseph
E, Cranston 62, of 169 Bayfield
Road,who died Tuesday at the
house of her daughter, Fern, in
Windsor,
Mrs. Cranston was the former
Mary Sherwood, daughter of
the late „Patrick Sherwood and
Anne Hutoheon. She was born
in Ashfield Township where
she married,. Joseph E. Cran-
ston in 1905. He died in 1950.
They lived, in Manitoba until
1010 and Saskatchewan until

Funeral services were held
Nov. 11 for Mrs. John Houston,
82, who died in Clinton hospital.
She was born in Auburn and
was Mary Rubena Young, daugh-
ter of the late James Young
and Elizabeth Fourby.
She attended U,S.S. No. 5,
llullett and later took up the
study of music: She became a
music teacher and was organist
and choir leader for many years.
In 1914 she married John Hous-
ton. They lived in West Wawa-
nosh Township until they re-
tired to Auburn a few years ago.
Mrs. Houston was a member
of Knox Presbyterian Church,
Auburn and was a life member
of the Women's Missionary So-

1925 when they moved to Code-
rieb. Mrs. Cranston was a seem-'
betof Victoria Street United.

the WCTU and an adult Bible
class' teacher,
She is survived by tliree,ons

will be in Maitland Cemetery.

MacLean officiated. Burial was
in Colborne cemetery. Pallbear-
ers were Arthur YoungbTut, Don-
ald Haines, Kenneth Scott, Wil-
liam Wagner, Joseph Hickey and
John Weir. Flowezibearers were
Thomas Johnston, Thomas Hag-
gitt and Ed. Davies.
