Goderich Vikings made it
four wins to.: a loss last Thurs-
day as they downed Mitchell
13-6.
Bob Wilkin was lost from the
,game on the third play with a
twisted ankle and Doug Stemp
left the game on the fourth
play with a head injury. Thus
the Vikings had to put out a
greater effort to win.
Mitchell hit the scoreboard
first, in the first quarter. Gode-
rich punted on third down and
Mitchell took it at their 40 -yard
line, faked a reverse and ran
it all the way back for the
score.
(Teff Such set up the first
Goderich touchdown when the
Mitchell punter fumbled a snap.
Such -broke through and flat-
tened the punter on his 20 -yard
line. After two plays Goderich
had moved the ball to the one -
Mitchell through the efforts of
Shearwood, Such, Minter and
Brereton. Goderich had a chance
to break the tie when Shear -
wood went 20 yards on a reverse
but the play was called -back
oil an offside call.
In the final quarter Goderich
started a drive from their own
20. And behind the hard -running
of Shearwood, Gould and Shear -
down finally put the ball again
