On Get. 19, the Goderich
Hortieult'ural Society welcomed
1V x's. Tessie Greig of Lions Head.
'the district direefor for Huron..
Mrs. Greig introduced Mr.
Smith of Tobermory, who show-
ed his collection of slides of the
wild flowers to be found in the
Bruce. His lighting and coin -
position were especially good,
while the vast varieties seen
were indicative of the trea-
sure house which the peninsula
provides.
The treasurer, Ted White, an-
nounced a probable deficit for'
the year of $132, a financial
situation which Mrs. Greig con-
sidered a fine incentive to do
better next year.
The annual meeting is to be
held on Nov. 16; the slate of new
officers will be brought in on
that date. Members were asked
to bring dried flowers to this
affair and make them into ar-
rangements during the evening.
Mrs. F. R. McGee reported on
her efforts in filling a .table 10
feet by 20 feet at the Interna-
tional Plowing Match with floral
tributes, thus showing the flag
of Goderich. Mrs. McGee was
assisted in her work by Mrs.
Overholt, Mrs. Goldthorpe and
sister, the results being warmly
commended by the match of-
ficials. Thanks are also due to
Mr. Denamme, who transported
all' the flowers to the match.
Mrs. McGee also told of her visit
to the Royal Botanical Gardens
at Edinburgh.
The president, Mary Howell,
