Salad Making
The art of making salads was
demonstrated at the fifth meet-
ing of the Auburn Cooking Cut -
les. The vice-president, Donna
Chamney, was in charge and
opened the meeting with the
4-H pledge. Jill Bennett and
Brenda Archambault made the
dressing .and Mrs. Donald Cart-
wright and Sherrill Patterson
made the tossed salad. The
members learned the value of
using vegetable& for supper
dishes and haw to plan supper
menus.

Last Friday the ODCI Vikings
had to give 1110 per cent to the
last whistle as they nipped South
Huron 21-18 in the Huron -Perth
Football League. '
In Exeter's first play from
scrimmage Al Youn'gash romp-
ed around the left end for a 60 -
yard score. A few minutes
later after Goderich had fumb-
led, Paul Mason gobbled up a
pass in the end zone to make the
score 12-0. '
Bryan Smith put the Vikings
back lir the game when he
scored on a 30 -yard pass from
Pirie. Pirie again passed to
Smith for the convert, and the
score was 12-7.
John Sheardown, who has
been playing outstanding de-
fence, intercepted a .pass and
ran it back 65 yards to ,out the
