Student C'ouncil's Initiation Dance Great Success

The Initiation Dance on Fri-
day night was a great success!
The auditorium was crowded
and from all reports, everyone
had a good time. The Student's
Council is to be congratulated
for an their effort's. Let's have,
just• as many out for the forth-
coming dances.

cheerleading squads: The Sen-
iors are Carolyn Watters -(Cap-

Remington, Linda Baeehiler and
Pat Durst. The Juniors are
Linda Prouse (Captain), Carol
Miller, Vicki Needham, Karen

Once again the Library Club
is back in action. Composed of
approximately 30 students, its
purpose is to acquaint the mem:
bers with new books and library
techniques. Of course there are
many benefits a student inay
receive when he joins the club.
Library Club members may sub-
scribe to theaCampus gook Club,
go an field trips (last year's was
to the University of Western
Ontario), make displays, and
help out as student librarians.
Tuesday at 3:40 the club held a
coffee party for the members of
the staff to welcome the teach-
ers and to acquaint them with
the library facilities.

The Goderich and District opened Sept. 26 with Mrs. Car
Association_ for the MentallWRe- I roll as manager. A stencil dup-
tarded held their meeting in
Knox Church parlour Sept. 20.
It was decided to sell Christ-
mas cards as a fund-raising pro•
ject to meet the pledge to the
National Crusade. These cards
will be available from any as-
sociation member by late Octob-
er.

"Saved to Serve" was also read
by Mrs. E. Patterson.

T. Wilson who read from the
Observer on India and its pro-
blems. It is going through its
most critical year since gaining
independence.

there was a short business ses-
sion. It was decided each mem-
ber raise $1.00 talent money.

27th at Tiger Dunlop Inn. At
the conclusion of the., meeting,
