H. A. Meadowland, a strapping bays three-year-old owned by
Ronnie arid George Feagan of Goderich, fashioned the swift-
est race mile in Ontario when he captured the 23rd renewal
of the `~,14,760 Castadian Pacing Derby in 2:OQ 1/5 at Green-
wood Raceway Aug. =20. With Ronnie Feagan at the reins the
clever Meadow Lands -shed ace closed miles of ground in the
final furlong -to post a• neck decisio0 over Timely Knight.
Victory was number 127 for Ronnie in 1966. E. P. Taylor,
chairman of the board of the Jockey Club Limited, presented
the trophy,. From left, George. Feagan, Dennis McGuinness,
