Calvary Baptist Church will
hold an induction service for' its
new pastor, L. D. Tower, on Fri-
day in the church at the corner
of Highway 21 and Blake street.
The service will be in charge
of R. (Jim) Cornish one of the

Western Fair . To
Start This Friday
One of the most: lavish spec
taeles ever staged in Western
Ontario will be starting an Fri-
day evening at the Western Fair
Grandstand. The fair opens on
Friday until Sept. 17.
Headlining the show for the
art twoevenings, Friday "and,
Saturday, will be Canada's own
king of the impersonators; Rich
Little and TV funnyman Jerry
Van Dyke, star of the "My, . Mo-
ther. the Car" television series.
The lovable Crazy Guggen-
ham, Frank Fontaine of Jackie
Gleason fame, will star at the
'grandstand on ' Monday, Tues-
day and Wednesday. Featured
with Fontaine for the teen crowd
on Monday and Tuesday. will'
be Jay and the Americans and
on Wednesday, will be Robbie
Lane and the disciples.
For the first five days of the
fair, the evening grandstand
show will have a top lever sup-
porting cast for the Headlines.
The master of ceremonies will
be Howard Hardin. The Com-
edy dance team of. Helene and
Howard and the Oriental Doll
Revue will round out the pro-
gram. ' •
The Oriental Doll Revue, a
show within itself is a lavish fast
paced extravaganza that brings
to the western world the cul-
tured and exotic aspects of the
oriental dance, The revue is
produced and choreographed
entirely by the lovely Miss Dor-
othy Toy.
