JANE : PARKER
a lot of your
neighbours
have stopped
baking pies!
Maybe Ws ;because th Adiscovered Jane Parker Pies ... thousands have. .•
But ... you say, "No th ks, there is nothing like a good home -baked pie."
We 'agree ... they're' great/'
But would you believe it if wetold you our Jane Parker Pies taste home -baked?
Probably not ... until you've fried one.
Then you'd discover the crust is short and flaky like your own..,
You'd discover the fruit is the kind you'd use ...
the best ... „juicy, not stiff with starch.
And if you popped a Jane Parker Pie into . the oven and warned It before
serving, you'd discover a pie, you'd be proud to call your own.'
Are Jane Parker Pies a good„reason for srtio`pping -A&P?

-Each year, Canada's dairy farmers get a
smaller return for their investment and
efforts. Increasing dosts,of operation, equip-
ment and virtually everything a farm needs,
plus a very serious shortage of farm labour,
are putting dairy farmers out of business
at the rate of about 10,0(10 each year.
Returns to the dairy farmer have not kept
pace with increased costs of farm. operation.
From May 1954 to the beginning of 1966,
in most Canadian markets, the aggregate
increase to the dairy farmer was only 2 cents,
per quart for standard homo .milk. .
Consumer: prices of dairy fogjls haave, no°t in-
creased as much as most other food product's.
From May 1954 to the beginning of 1966,
in most Canadian markets, .the aggregate
increase in home delivered milk (standard
homo) was only 5 cents a quart.
Canada's dairy industry is vital to our eco
nomic and nutritional health. If dairy
foods cot'a little more than they used to,
they'll still be your best food buy.
