OBITUARY

'runeral serviees were con-
ducted by Rev. Roland at York
Funeral Chapel, 11oronto,: May
18, for Isobel Jane Hart, Reg.N.,
widow of the late Richard Hart,
in her 77th year.
She was born near Auburn,.
daughter of the late Robert
Scott and Elizabeth Howson.
She . graduated frem Wood,
stock. General Hospital and was
superintendent of Iroquois Hos-
pital from 1913 until 1916.
Later she and
roved to Toronto
had since resided.
She is survived by two daugh-
ters, Mrs. John (Dorothy) Is -
mond of Ar;zonn and Mrs.
Leonard (Bette) Lindsey of Cali-
fornia; a sister, Mrs. Dora Jewell'
of Goderich.
Burial took place at Park
Lawn cemetery. Mrs. Dora
Jewell, Mr. and Mrs, Bob Jewell'
and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Fisher
attended the services. •

A beautiful evening was the

Golfers opening dinner, 'held at
the club-° house, May 25.
Seventy lady anembers, golf-
ing, curling and social, were in
attendance and were greeted
at the door by president, Mrs.
Edna Overholt.
A 'delicious supper was served
by Mrs. Betty ,.Jones and her
staff, after which Court Whist
was enjoyed for the balance of
the Peening.
Winners wbre Mrs. Sean Mac-
Donald and ;;M r s. • Martina
Schneiker. Mrs.''Betty Salinger
and lliss Maxine Martin- took
consolation prizes.
Mrs Jean Knight was the
winner of a cake donated by
Mrs. Overholt.

Monday evening for the opening
of the weekly "Men's__ Night"
event. The following were the
low net whiners: Wally ?rest,

Schneiker, Nibby Baker and
Alex Profit all had 35's. There
were eleven other winners with
net scores up to MA.
This past Sunday saw the first

ham. The Goderich team came a
close . second, only two points
behind Wingham. - In third and
fourth positions were Kincar-
dine and Walkerton•.
