Relatives in this community
received the news last week of
the death of William Murdoch
Hoge, 33, of Winnipeg, who died
as the result -ZS an accident He
was thVson ot Mrs. Paura Hoge -
of Saskatchewan, formerly of
the Auburn district and had
visited here several times with
his aunt, IVIrs. Charl0 Straughan
and NS ecousin, Nirs, W. Brad -
nock. A former Saskatchewan
tenni,: champion, he served for
a time with the R.C.M.P. and
at the time of his death was
the manager a the Niagara Fi-
nance Co. at Winnipeg. Besides
his mother he is survived by one
brother, Allan E. Hoge, R.C.A.F.'
station, Chatham i N.B. and one
sister, Mrs. Douglas (Marilyn)
Hales Saskatoon and eight
young nephews.
Cengratulatrins are extended
to Miss Margaret Haines who
has completed her year at the
Strabford Teacher's College.
The Auburn T C.G,I.T. members
canvassed for the Goderieh Sal -
tion Airily last Tuesday even-
ing and received over $40 from
the residents, of the village.

her mother, Mrs. Edgar Lawson
