Toynbee Lamb of Goderigle, at- tended the South Huron Distritt anual at Dashwood last Thurs- day. Eight I3oy Scouts from the dis- trict attended the regional camp at Fanshawe Darn last weekend. Friends are pleased to see Miss Jean Houston, Miss Jean Jamieson and Miss Bella Rich - Ards` at the Houston home after their week's stay in Clinton hos- pital recuperating front their ear, accident. • Relatives in this community received the news last week of the death of William Murdoch Hoge, 33, of Winnipeg, who died as the result -ZS an accident He was thVson ot Mrs. Paura Hoge - of Saskatchewan, formerly of the Auburn district and had visited here several times with his aunt, IVIrs. A former Saskatchewan tenni,: champion, he served for a time with the R.C.M.P. and at the time of his death was the manager a the Niagara Fi- nance Co. at Winnipeg. Besides his mother he is survived by one brother, Allan E. Hoge, R.C.A.F.' station, Chatham i N.B. and one sister, Mrs. Douglas (Marilyn) Hales Saskatoon and eight young nephews. Cengratulatrins are extended to Miss Margaret Haines who has completed her year at the Strabford Teacher's College.
