An invitation was received
from the Barbara Kirkman
W.M,S. of • Seaforth, to attend
their Thankoflering meeting at
8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26th.
The guest speaker will be
Mrs. Herrg of Toronto- who is in
change of "Armagh," the Pres-
byterian Home --for. unm
mothers. Those wishing to at-
tend were asked to give their
names, to the telephone com-
mittee.
An invitation was received
to • attend the re -affiliation ser
vice of the C.G.I.T. on the same
date, so it was hoped to arrange
a change of date for this meet-
ing.
- A letter was received from
the Centennial Committee in-
viting suggestions of interest for
the 1967 celebrations.
One idea was a combined meet-
ing in the arena for all the wo-
men's organizations in town,
with `the aim to do all in our
power to make Goderieh a bet-
ter place in' which to live.
Another suggestion ""was .a to
'fuse a tape recorder, to` hear
some of the stories 'of bygone
years, from some of oto
Citizens; while we have the op-
portunity to get them first hand,
instead of "lust wishing we
Bad." r�
The program was arranged
by -Mrs. J. R. Leitch and Miss
G. Gracey with Easter hymns
and flowers. The Scripture' les-
son was' read by Miss G'racey,
meditation by Mrs. A. - H. Ers-
kine,. prayer by Mr$. W. G.
MacEwan, and a solo by Mrs. C.
Edward, accompanied by Mrs.
J.. W. Coulter.
- Mts. Leitch spoke of the need -
for the sure and certain hope
of bur -Lord's resurrection. a
Mrs. _Enright thanked all who
.took- part and closed with pray-
er. A social half hour followed.

AUBURN -The April meet-
ing
eeting of the Auburn Women's In-
stitute was. held --in the Com-
munity Memorial Hall with .the
president, Mrs. Doi§ld Haines
in charge. The meeting was:
opened with Mrs. William J.
Craig at; the piano. •.
The minute; were adopted as
read by the secretary; Mrs. Tho-
tnas Haggitt. She .also gave the
year's financial statement.
Planswere made to cater to
lunch for the 4kH Achievement
Day to be held on *July 25th:

ron County ,, dome Economist
stating that a freezer forum
would be available next spring.
All are invited to go to Guelph
on May 5th to meet Mrs. Philip
,Matheson, -National preside.>t,
when she makes her official visit
to Ontario.

Plans' were •• announced that
the .postponed cooking school
will be held on May 26th. -Mrs.
Andrew Kirkconnell reported
that plans are --now underway
for the annual Sunshine Sister
banquet to be held on May 1,lth
at Blyth.
Committees will be formed
at the May meeting t " eater to,
the West Huron 'District annual
meeting on May 31st in Auburn.
The members accepted an in-
vitation, to Londesboro on May
4th. Mrs. Gordon Chamney re-
ported that more leaflets would
be available from Canada Pack-
ers `so the members could have
labels to get a coffee maker for
the hall. -
It was decided to entertain
Goderich and Dungannon bran-
ches at the May meeting. A dis'
cussion on the microfilming of
the Tweedsmuir history book
took place ane it was decided
that the curator, Mrs. Gordon
R. Taylor be authorized to have
this alone.
After the business period a
sing-songwas led by Mrs. Gor-
don Taylor with Mrs. W. J.
Craig at the p;ano. '
The district president, Mrs.
Toynbee Lamb . was the guest
speaker and installed the new
officers. She also told about
the coming ploughing match
this October Seaforth and the
part that the W.1.'s . in- Hurotl
County will play "in the official
booth and the hobby show of
crafts.

Charles Straughan. Lunch was
served by Mrs Bert Craig, Mrs.
George Hamilton, Mrs. Ed.
Davies and Mrs. Thomas Haggitt.
William Henry McClinchey
Funeral services were held
at the Arthur funeral home for
William Henry McClinchey on
Sunday afternoon.
Born in Staniey Township he
was the sin of the late John
McClinchey and Julia Daer. He
had residedia East Wawah`osh
for many years until a week
ago when he was taken to Clin-
ton hospital. He was ,77 years
of age.
Surviving are two brothers,
Gordon, R.R. 2, Auburn and Sid-
ney of -1.R._1, Auburn; also
Three sisters, Mrs. Charles (Kate)
Robinson, Wirtgham; Mrs. Char-
les (Esther) Potter, Parkhill, and
Mrs. Charles (lona) Jefferson of
R.R. 2, Auburn.
Rev. Harold J. Snell of Lon-
don conducted the service and
burial took place in Blyth Union
cemetery. Pallbearers were
neph sws: John McClinchey, Har-
old • McClinchey, Wesley Jeffer-
son, Tew Robinson, Gordon Rob-
inson, Jim Potter.- Flower bear-
ers were- nephews, Garth Mc-
Clinchey aid Lloyd McClinchey.

Auburn 4-1f. meeting last Thurs-
day evening. She spoke to the
