The Siftos had held the 'Shirts

twice more to polish off the

The Siftos had a fine season

The season began slowly for

Siftos are doing.: to lose
quite a few boys this year to
College because oru e they are too
old. -
If this is going to hinder the
return of" Junior "B" hockey to
this town it is a shame, As was
shown by the people of Gode-
rich this year, we want hockey
to remain ,hero, and will surely
support it. d
'Granted. at times the attend-
ance was low, yet Goderich still
had the largest attendance fig-
ure in the league.
Congratulations to the team
and management on' a fine sea-
sistently;,

except Kite ens e

defeated them twice. Dennis Williamson was voted
the MVP this year. Dennis also..
won the scoring crown.
Bob Caster set 'a new scoring
record for this league with 48
goals, These -were just two of
the highlights this year.
The difference between this
year's team and last year's team.
was The years experience for
the majority octhe boys.
l larl Rice, Bob Caster, ' Bill
Wilkinson, Williamson, Rick
Duclhworthh Doug Wilson, Ken
Doer to mention a few were the
pillars of the team.
Biran Carroll, Doug Johnston
and Brian Smith united to form
a third line nea.r the end of
the season. It took. several
games for this line to click, and
during the playoffs this was
Goderich's most consistent line.
Jack Horner joined the, tease
after Christmas and proved to
be .a b,g• factor in strengthening
the S? to's defence. •-
