ial two-hour -parking bylaw.
,At a Meeting of council last
week Councillor William Schaef-
er presented a list of proposed
changes which will be ineorpor
ated in a draft bylaw to be
considered by council next
Thursday.
The major changes proposed
are for the hours to be short-
ened
hortened from 9 a.m, - 7 p.m. to 9
a.m. to 0 p.m. and restricted
parking areas to be shortened
on streets off the Square.

was held in Goderich `last' week.
"I hope we will never see the
time when the county council
is done away with," he said.
"For l ,feel they are nearer to

The former PC incumbent
said he felt the county council
system was superior to the house
of commons. "I learned more in
eight years as reeve than I ever
learned in eight years in the
house," he said.
He added: "When I first went
to parliament I wondered-- why
it could not be run as efficiently
a county council."

a gift on behalf of Huron County
for his services over the past
25 years and took the opportun-
