Dear Ann Landers: Please
print this letter for the benefit
of a pathetic dog who is living
-or I should say dying -on, our
street.
The poor, mangy thing is over
70 dog years old and should
be put to .sleep. King is stone
deaf, almost blind and can bare-
ly walk. The children have to
push orsarry him,which is the
most serious part of the pro-
blqm. Several small children
in the neighborhood love King
and are forever going out in the
street to rescue him from the
traffic.
Many times I've seen a little
one standing in the street try-
ing to push King to safety.
Whenever I hear the screeching
of brakes, I'm scared stiff that a
child has been hit. I'm hoping
and praying that the dog rolls
over and dies before a youngster
loses his life: In the meantime
I'm Worried sick. What can
be done? -1 LOVE MY NEIGH-

will, explain to the dog's owners
and the appropriate steps will
be taken.
