"I decided I liked Goderich

to stay," said Mr. Robinson. "It
has been far from easy over

back on a successful business
venture."
"He came to Goderich from
Windsor in the spring of 1942
with the intention of becoming
a farmer. On arrival he found
he was forced to take a milk
route to help eek out a living
for his wife Mary and his. two
children.
"In those days money was not
too plentiful but we saved and
made every effort until we got
on the right path," he said.

Each job the contracting firm
undertakes sees Mr. Robinson
working personally on' the pro-
ject.
"He likes to be on hand to
inake sure the work is kept
up to standard," said Mrs. Rob-
inson. "This is 'made easier by
the fact that he employs two
men highly skilled in the floor-
ing trade."
During his time in Goderich,
Mr. Robinson has. shown an ac-
tive interest in the colnmunity
and all branches of civic affairs.
"I felt if I were 'going to be part
of a town this should be one
interest I should have," he said.
Underdog Supporter
A notorious supporter of _the
underdog, Mr. Robinson won
both friends and, as he says, "a
certain number of enemies," by
his actions.
But despite his political as
pirations his life has been first
and foremost centred round
making a success in' business
and caring for his wife and
family of six—four ofwhom
were born here in Goderich.
His company can now offer,
the community from floor to

. self holds a number of diplomas
in this field.

is why I felt I must know as

The B. R. Robinson flooring
