Thursday in the'absence of Mag-
istrate Glenn Hays, Q.C.
Douglas Wayne Leibold, 17,
Clinton, was sentenced to six
months definite and three
months indeterminate when he
pleaded guilty to stealing a,n
$80 transistor.
Leibold also pleaded guilty-
-to- stealing a transistnr-radio
valued at $150 and was 'sent-
eneecl to six months definite and
three months indeterminate in
the Ontario Reformatory. Both
sentences are to run concurrent-
ly.
Mitchell Fowler, Goderich, was
fined $50 when he pleaded guil-
ty to failing to yield the right
of way when he entered an
intersection. ,
James Gordon Empey, 19,
Clinton, was fined $25 when he
pleaded guilty to consuming
liquor while under 21 years of
age.
David Zebersenicke, Clinton,
was also fined$25 for consum-
ing ,a, mia.
Wayne Harold Hemmaway,
'19, Clinton, was fined $25 when
he pleaded guilty to having
liquor which had not been ac-
quired by him.

Boards of Ashfield and West
Wawanosh Townships have ac-
quire41 a 15 -acre site as the loca-
tion for the proposed new area
school that will be built to han-
dle the elementary education for
the two townships.
The site is on the 9th conces-
sion of Ashfield, about % mile
,wtef tAe. L uctgi oyv-Dungannon
county high -way and on the
south Side of the road. The pro-
perty is being icquired from
Russel Irvin and is located be
tween the- river to the \-est and
a barn of Russel's to the east.
The architectural firm of Rid-
dle, Connor, Falls and Irvine df
London has been engaged. Mr.
Falls, along with the board and
Mr. Empey of the Huron Count'

recently and the 9th concession
location was decided by the
board.

R. last Thursday enroute to
Toronto and at Stratford were
'given special luggage moving
attention by C.N.R. officials
when the latter learned of
their unusual trip. They will
cross the Atlantic by ship,
sailing' from Montreal.

teachers are from the Goderich
area.
The old school will still be
used for two rooms while the
