The Johnston car was. in col- lision with a tractor -trailer truck driven by Harry Spies of. Elora, who escaped from the wreckage with an injured hip. Mr. Spies was thrown from the truck cab into a nearby field when the vehicle jack- nifed following the collision. The car, driven bSi Mrs. John- ston, struck the rear dual Wheels of the truck and Was dragged into the north ditch and •flattened beneath the truck. Mrs. Johnston was born in Lochalsh and went to school in Lucknow. She married Eldon Johnston in Lucknow and he predeceased her five years ago. She is survived by two sons: Roger and Clarence, both of Toronto; three sisters, Mrs. Frank (Annie) McLennan, Loch- alsh; Mrs. Ben - (-Bessie) Chis- holm, GodericI-; Mrs. Carl (Jean) Pollock-, Uncardine, and one brother, James Grant of Chicago. Funeral services were held at the 1V1c1enzie funeral home in Lucknow on Wednesday after- noon and were followed by bur- ial in the Greenhill' cemetery in Lucknow.
