The hospital is people — these people within the institution who are trying to
provide servile that is.needed-- .nd it is you, through your support: Support does not'
only mean a financial donation. Yo can si ) ort_ your hos.,pital by showing that xou

lems and needs of the hospital in your _community.
We are extremely grateful for the tine support given us by so many during our
years of operation. It is gratifying because, as you know, the hospital is not a private
enterprise, but a community responsibility. It serves the ccimmunity and -in a sense
must be served by the community. 'You, the people
of Goderich
and vicinity, play a
large part in developing -the in .the service" that your ,hospital can give.
way! We strive to have it. that way.
Being prepared to meef all emergencies at any hour of the day or night is a
huge task and a very costly item. It means the necessity of having and maintaining
costly equipment that gets only occasional a se • and. yet is necessary to save lives. The
hospital must have an incubator to assist the prematurely born; it needs an oxygen tent
for the patient who has had a heart attack.. This 'equipment is costly and may be:re-
quired only occasionally and for a short period of time. Nevertheless the hospital is ex-
- „pected to provide it.
•
If you have been taking your hospita 1 foi granted, why not start now and find -
out something about: this community asset that is truly on guard for you at all times.
