president, Mrs. Don 'McKee
showed specimen delphiniums
on a centre dais and when the
show opened to the public, the
kaleidoscope of color was most
entrancing.
Mrs. T. Rogerson of Ancaster
judged the arrangements • and
left helpful notes against each
exhibit. Mr. D. Miles of Clin-
ton judged the specimen flow-
ers. '
As is usual at • the Spring
Show the rose was king or
queen, whichever sex you
choose to ascribe. The Simp-
son -Sears Award for best rose
in the show was won by Mrs.
A. Hugill; The Red Rose Tea
Company's cup for best red
rose was won by Mins Edna Fell

that Mrs. Ryan had five firsts
in seven prize winning entries;
Mrs. F. Price and Mrs. C. Mills
each had four firsts in five
prize winning entries.
• The most popular arrange-
ment classes were: "Good Morn-
ing" With 13 entries; "Itsy
Bitsy" with 11 and "Petite" with
12 entries. There were 10 stu-
dent entries • for two classes.
A new departure was to
photograph in color the first
three winning entries in each
of the arrangement classes for
-use later on with a. view to de-
monstrate the points which go
to make up a good arrangement
an4 so help improve the stand-
ard 'of flower,arranging.
