OBITUARY
ARTHUR GODDARD
The funeral service was held
at Guelph Friday afternoon of
Arthur Goddard, 8 Speedvale
avenue W., Guelph, a former
resident of Goderich, who ditd
at St: Joseph's Hospital, Guelph,
on June 9th in his 79th year
after a lengthy illness. The ser-
vice was conducted by Rev.
Thomas M. Appleton of St.
James The Apostle Anglican
Church. Interment was in Mem-
ory Gardens.
1\fr. "Goddard was born in Eng-
land and had lived in .Goderich
before moving to ---Guelph -. in
1950. He was a veteran of
World.. W.ar.-1, , and_...had..served
overseas and was a refired sec-
tion foreman with the CPR.
He was an Anglican ,and for
the -past 10 years had been sex-
ton of Norfolk Street United
Church.
He IS survived by his wife,
the former Beatrice Hurst, . a
Mrs. Clarence (May) Bruder
both of Guelph, four grand-
children and 12 great-grand-
children.

that since last session the death
had occurred of J. A. Sutter,
former -deputy reeve--of.-Clinton,
"a valued member of this coun-
cil, who performed much public
service to Clinton."
