the swine competition with 188

The Canadian National Ex-
hibition shield for highest no-
vice entrant went to Donald
Boak of Lucknow, who had 480
points. Richard McPherson of
R.R. 2, Wingham, was runner-
up with 475 points.
John Bradley of R.R. 3,-Gode-
rich, won the Carnation Milk
Co. silver cup for best score in
the dairy judging with, 192

A program, "Flashback," pre-
pared by Mrs. H. Alton was the

off Dungannon Women's Insti-
tute with Mrs. W. Stewart as

New •Workshop
Goderich Little Theatre will
conduct a workshop in lighting
and backstage effects on June
9 under the direction of Laurie
Smith of London.
Mrs.. Smith, who will open
the workshop at 8 p.m., manag-
ed the backstage at the Grand
Theatre in London for many
years.
"This .shnuld be an excellent-
workshbp for our baelcslage peo-
ple and anyone else who is in-
terested in the more practical
aspects -of -Little Theatre;", said
GLT president, R. W. Bell.

George Leslie Baxter, 70-; after •

He was born April 21; 1895,
,.in Ashfield Township, a son of
the late George Baxter and

Mr. Baxter served in • World
War and was a past president
