In" ,parbie'ular, they do . not

In . elaborating' on, .the views

be in an overall change before
they go ahead. We feel that
in Huron hve' have one - of the
best -working arrangements In
C,A S. and it is a very nice
arrangement, because if °tike
C.A.S. hasn't the funds it looks
to the county, which has always

cannot get a better arrange-

Meahis son was born in 1955 Mike's Dad
bought a Manufacturers Life policy. It has
provided $10,000 protection ever since. Recently
he was pleased -to learn it had
--$ . over $1,100 in cash value; that the -
policy dividend rate was up again.
(The 10th consecutive increase since Mike was born.)
"Of ,course, a; further step,',
not apJ7l.icable ,to in other, is
that we have county officials*
acting in the cap'acity„of secre-
tary, and treasurer of i Ghild-
ren's Aid, wyhiclh means we can
«vend- bank --,tovrdpafts; and.
there is no financing problem,
as we can transfer funds when
required, and it is not necessary
to run a large bank account
for the C.A.S."
,Miss Clare McGowan, C.A.S.I
director, wondered if that ap-
pointment would be provincial.
She fioted that the •proposed
welfare authority may purchase 1
C.A.S. service's to take care of
children, but it is not --stated
that they shall. "We have
been
much concerned about- this
part," Miss -McGowan said.
The director's report showed
that all phases of the society's
work increased last year. Court
hearings, .for exaam.pie, number-
ed 150. Miss McGowan express-
ed gratitude to foster fam.ili'es, I•
and said: "We can use more
adoption homes, especially Ro-
man Catholic."
She announced_the annual
meeting of the C.A.S. February
10, to be preceded by a dinner
in Knox Church hall, Goderich,
to honor the foster parents, an
:dea originated by the late Wm.
Jewett, former president.
This policy has a constant -premium and will
provide $10,000 protection for as long as Mike's
Dad lives0But it is more than protection. Guar-
anteed cash values build up year after year.
These values are available to meet emergencies
or later to su(,plement retirement income.
[n addition it returns dividends each year. The
size of a policy dividend depends in large part
on,the success of investment operations. In this
field Manufacturers Life has an outstanding
record and in 1965 $14,685,717 will be paid to
participating policyowners.
A Man0fa'bturers Life participating policy will
he a solid foundation for your family's security.
It's protection plus guaranteed cash values plus
dividends. Talk it over with your Manufacturers
Life representative. Soong
