Of Knox Group
The Knox Spiritual Crusade
highlighted 'the Ladies' Ah
meeting on Friday, October 23,
The president, Mrs. Burns Jerry,
presided at the meeting.
The tamp voice of Rev. Rob
ert L. Taylor brought greeting
stressing the needs of men and
women, not the needs of tin
Church. He pointed out that
the 'Crusade was not to bring
people into the church in a
material way; but in a prayer
ful attitude.
The pianist, Mrs. N. IVI'cinn. s,,
played the Stirring theme hymn
of the Crusade, "Great God of
Wonders in all Thy Ways."
The devotion was taken' by
Mrs. Harold Chambers while
Rev. G. L. Ramal offered. the
prayer.
The ,president reported on
several diriner-s served and 'an-
nounced tickets to be sold on
a turkey 'dinner in November.
Mrs. Dorothy Reed was ap-
pointed " refreshment convener
'for the Crusade•on October 25th.
Mrs. M. Ainslie, Mrs. R. Bell
and ;Mrs. Gordon McManus were
named aa the nominating com-
mittee to bring in a slate of
officers in November for the
coming year.

The Tbanli:offering meeting of
the W.M.S. of Knox Presbyter-
ian Church was held on Octo-
ber 20. The president was un-
- able to be present due to illness,
and Mrs. A. Enright 'prsided.

ply secretary, Mrs. J. Thomson:
It was announced, that' the spea-
. ker for the November meeting
will be Miss Marnie Rumsey,_

The speaker was Mrs. John
Murray, who with her husband,
is on . furlough from Amkhut,

works. Mrs. Murray was -the
guest of Ida's mother, Mrs. J.

Circle on Monday night, and the
C.G.LT. group Tuesday night.

bride is the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs., B. W. Chenier of Green-
wood, Nova Scotia; and the
groom is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Jbhn Chisholm of Gode-
rich. William Cameron • pre-
sided at the organ and accom-
panied the soloist, Mrs. William

who passed away in August.

She had been an invalid for
several years.
