recently by the Department of Agricul-
ture,Manitoba,the average yield of wheat
to the acre for that Province has not been
equal to the Ontario average of fall
wheat by 2-5 of a bushel. The one is
25.3 bushels to the acre
as other
25.7. Oats, barley,p and turnips
for Manitoba average respectively, 48.3,
35.6,180.4 and 355.9 bushels to the acre,
and in Ontario the same cereaisand roots
average 29.2.40.8, 150.1 and 546 bushels
to the acre. The aggregate wheat pro-
duct of Manitoba this year is estimated
at 23,191,000 bushels, or one-third more
than in 1890.
