Other Activities
Previous to becoming engag-
ed
ngabed in the service station busi-
ness,
business, Bud was active in a num-
ber of other lines of work. In
1936 and 1937<bhe was a hard
rock miner near Val d'Or,
Northern Quebec. During the
same time he played goal for
•
the Lemaque Mine team in the
Quebec Senior Hockey' League.
After his ..return to Goderich
in X937, he worked for Stewart's
Geeenhouse and also for the
Agnew Surpass Shoe StOre in
Goderich.
In 1940 he was a Sergeant
in the Middlesex and Huron Re-
serve Unit. In 19411$ he joined
No. 12 EFTS as a civilian in-
structor. Later, he joined the.
RCAF and was posted to civil-
ian companies' as an armament
instructor until. June of 1944
when No. 12 ,EFTS was closed.
Then he was posted to Comox,
B.C., until'his discharge at Van-
couver in 1945.

Bud w,as a member of the
Kinsmen Club of ,Goderich and
is now a member of the Rotary
