Open May 3rd
. The Goderich :Restaurant is
tentatively scheduled to open
Sunday, May 3, after more than
a month of planning and build-
ing on' West Street.' An official
opening is planned for Friday.
The restaurant is the second
ofan influk of new eating
places in Goderich this year.
Thee first was a small coffee bar
in Fincher's SniQke Shop.
Restaurants are •alse planned at
Kingston And Elgin avenue and
on the Bayfield road.
Three Londoners, Alex Nik-
olakokos, Jim and Johp Bob-
ostis, will run the new dining
place.. The restaurant was de-
signed by Chris Buzanis, owner
of the Wellington Square Res-
taurant in London

The death occurred' in New.
Liskeard Hospital, on April
18th,of William J. Elliott, in
his 87th year. He had been
in hospital for rest%and Cheglt-
up, and suffered a heart atiack.
The late M. 'Elliott was born.
at Nile, son.of Thomas J. Elliott
and Rdbecea (Black) Elliott, and
spent his early life in that vicin-
ity. About 1906. he went to
New lAskeard, in Northern On-
tario, and operated a dry goods
store for Many years. Later
he renipved to Elk Lake to
inanage a'drug store, and after
a few years returned to New
Liskeard to live retid.
He married Mary Ryan .
Dungannon in 1912. , They cele-
brated their golden wedding an-,
niversarY in , 1962. Surviving
are his wife; one daughter,
Beryl, at home, and one brother,•
Everett, in Northn.n Ontario,
The funeral was held from
the Perrin funeral, home on
April 21, with burial in New

eral home, Ripley. The body

Moore- On July ?1, 1 01, she
was married to Hinton H. Mit-
chell, who died in July, 1948,
She resided in bRipley until Nov-
ember, 1960, when she moved
to Goderich. Mrs. lVtitcheLwas
a life member of St. Andrew's
United, Ripley, of the W.M.S.,
of the Women's Institute and a
devoted Red Cross worker in
Word Wars I and II.
Surviving are one danghter,
Mrs. James II. (Ella) Pollock of
Goderich and one son, Ronald
of Oakville. ' Another son, Leon-
ard of Ripley, predeceased her.

She is survived by two daugh-

ford; two brothers, Charles and
William, both of Gaderich.
A perviee was- held Wednes-
day afternoon at the Lodge
funeral home with Rev. G. L.
Rgyal officiating. Burial was
in Maitland cemetery,
