past week at GDCI was one of intense excitement, •
In the Hurn -Perth girls' basketball playoffs, the Goderich
juniors fauxid themselves four points short of the winner's

In the championship match' with South Huron, our girls";led
„thraughont,most of the.•.contest, only- watch -the -Exeter -._team--=
topPlse them in the last .few minutes. The final score, yea's
4541.
The senior boys provided an equally stimulating effbrt,
in league play with. South Hurons,, Anrovertime period was
necessary, to establish the 42-41. victory .for the alien collegiate.
John Everett, was the 'Blue and White's top scorer with 13.
Steve Snell collected 10 point. '
However, the Goderich juniors gained compensation for
those two losses by crushing the Exeter boy 56-27. Our
eager -nen were led by Norm McOullough's 20 poi.nuts and Ed
Curry's 15, On Saturday, February 29, this team travels to
Stratford to compete fpr the HuronTerth junior boys basket-
ball championship. The men who make up this 'excellent
squad are Bill Craig, Ell Curry, Murray Johnston, Doug Keene,
Norm McCullough, Andy Pirie, `John Pirie, Brian Smith;., Rob-
bie: Smith John ten Hoopen, Rick Sower-tib--Capptain Gbn Wad
