visitors at the Harrison home
were Mrs. 'Cecil Smilthers 'and

Mrs. H. McCabe returned
home -last week after . spending
ten days at • Gaspe' with
mother, Mrs. Walker, who has
been quite ill.
Community Club
The Community Club met for
their. February meeting at the.
home of Mrs. Gerry Ginn. There
was a good attendance. An in-
• teresting letter (was ' read by,
Mrs.' John Westbrook' from the
adopted boy in Korea. The
work committee thad aprons on
display which . had been made
for the bazaar in the fall. It
let .e
was repotted the, quilt which
had been,'quilt.ed at the last
meeting, had been .donated to
the Salvation Army-at.Goderich.
Articles brought in by the,Im•em-
hers were auctioned off and
some $15 was realized. Mrs.
Chester Sturdy- was the genial
auctioneer. The collectors were
app'oiited for the Cancer can-
vass which will ` be in April.

Siticlair, were -hostesses.' Pie
March meeting will be held at
the home of Mrs. John West-
orook.. Everyone is asked to
bring a friend. •

Mrs. Hugh .Davidson, presiding.

vice was Mrs. Archie Swain,
who asked- that the service be
dedicated to missionary work
throughout the world. Mrs- F.
McMichael gave a talk about the,
native Indians in South Asia,
showing pictures "of same. A
moment of silent prayer was'
observed dor „the sick and shut
ins.
Minutes of the last meeting
were read by the recording sec -

literature -secretary, • Mrs. N.
Durst, distributed ',books. ; and
talked on the benefits to be en-
joyed from reading. The Cor—
responding 'secretary, 'Mrs. L:
Fisher, tread the thank -you
cards. The social and supply
convener, Miss A..d3axter, gave
, the units three quilt tops to be
quilted for the Children's Aid.

sent in by • the .Children's Aid`
Society to lie made up for small
children. The flower convener,
Mrs. W. Fisher, reported send-
ing flowers -to .sick in the hos-
pital. The ladies plan to use
dime folders for this year -in an
effort to raisemoney for the
Missionary Society. ,
