Models have. tea between, the first and, second sittings of the
.Valentine .Tea held Wednesday of last week- at North .Street
United 'Church. It took three sittings to ' accommodate . all
who came, to see, the many hats 'shown by Mrs. Humphrys
of London; and fto enjoy a 'cup of tea. The stage' was
given ` a • spring-like atmosphere. with gay flow,ers and a
blossoming apple tree. All was meticulously done ' by 'the •
United Church Women. '

sent to• the Ladies' Auxiliary
Bursary Fund to be awarded
in 1984;; Its was passed to send
donations to the March of Dimes
and the St. John Ambulance.

the patients.

in March., The ladies will travel
to .Exeter on Febr=uary 26t1i for
an evening of cards. • •

The Goderich Community.
'Concerts Association will cam-
paign during April for mei-Ater-
ship, for the 1964-65 season.
'[he board of directors de-
cided to 'seek noses members as,
well as membership renewals.
The board' was told the Bi-
hari •Ballet, presented last --all,
was well received. The next
concert is presenting John Boy-
den, baritone -soloist, on March
18 at the GDCI auditorium. ..
Community . Concerts repre-
sentative, Mrs. Margaret -Brads,
ley of Port Hope, told the boat
a French vocal duet, Varel and
Bailly, will, be part of next
eason's concerts..

Noble Grands Club of the Re-
bekah Lodge was held• at the
home . of Mrs. C. Tweedie with
fiftectn .members present.. The
president,. Mrs. G. Mumby took
the chair.
Under -.new business tentative
plans -were made, for the district
meeting ih April. The £con-
vener was named, . with other
m.embars, to be added to the
comlmittee.
'Mrs. Amos' Osbaldeaton,.`dis.
trict deputy president, will pre-
side. Date of meeting. will be
.announced later this month.
The reading of the ode
brought the meeting to a close.
Several games of "500" were
played, prizes' going to ,Mrs:
Wm. Doak and Mrs: Archie
Johnston.

held their fifth annual Mardi
Gras Ball at the Ilarbourlite
.Inn when a crowd of over 225
people danced to the music of
the B-uddy . Grant Quintet.
'A hearts and flowers theme
was carried out in the decora-
tions. On entering, each lady
was presented with a corsage
which complemented ,,her Cos-
tume. ,.
' The draw for 'the "Mardi
Gras Queen was made at twelve
o'clock, and was won by ,Mrs.
Wesley Holland of .Clinton.—She'

M. L. SANDERSON'S MOTHER
SUFFERED HIP FRACTURE
Mrs. Mary Sanderson of Gode-
rich; who has been visiting• here
since Christmas at the home of
'her Son, M. L. (Mike) and Mrs.
Sanderson, is' a• patient in .Vic-
toria. Hospital, London, with 'a
fractured hip. -
Mrs.Sanderson is in her 88th
year. The limb collapsed on
her an Friday .and she .was re-
moved • to London, . where she
.underwent surgery on Monday.
She came through the operation
well and,her condition is as
good as can the expected,. -:.Luck -

are now being received. Any child who will be
