6 -year-old son's dog starve to death in his backyard four days
before Christhnas was fined $50 in Magistrate's court yester-

,Vernon McDonald, 44, of Northmount Ave.; pleaded guilty

Canine' control Constable Thomas Nicholson said he found
the year old dog dead and chained to a dog house. It was near -
zero weather and the ,dog's water bowl - was frozen to the
ground. Constable Nicholson said an,autopsy showed the dog
'had starved to d?ath, '
,Magistrate H. T. G. Andt•ews told McDonald,: "It is incon-
ceivable'that" you could be " so stupid."..._ -
