She was ens oiled 'at Victoria College, of the University of Toronto, where she followed a general arts and physical edu- cation program for four years after which she attended OCE for one year. Active in intercollegiate work, Mrs. ,Harper was on the Varsity senior intermural bask- etball team for --two years and was also the editor of the uni- versity paper, „' 1'he Varsity." Mrs. Harper has taught a variety of subjects in high schools at PorL Lolborne, Pem- broke and Toronto. For the eleven year, follow- ing, her teaching at Toronto she was a full-time housewife. This, however, did not prevent her from refereeing countless basketball games and teaching Red Cross first aid and itoyal Lite Saving Society swimming. Her other activities include or have included being first treasurer, and thew President, of the Iluron County,. Cancer Society Unit and being on the executive of the Maple Leat Chapter, IODE in *Goderich. Her husband is a chartered accountant at Goderich. Liquor Fines For Youths George Alfred Brooks, 19, of Staffa, was fined $75 and costs or one month in jail when he pleaded guilty in Goderich mag- istrate's court to a charge of illegal possession of liquor in Seaforth, December 7.
