W.I. Picnic Meeting
A picnic meeting was held
at the punaannon Agricultural
men's Institute. The 4-H Clubs
were the guests for the after-
noon. Thirty-five answered the
roll'call by reciting a favorite
nursery rhyme. Mrs. Cecil
Blake presided. Leaders for
the 4-11 Club and dessert course
were appointed. Tag day for
the blind will be conducted at
the Dungannon Fall Fair. Mrs.
Raymond Finnigan gave ,an ex-
cellent mptto on "In Youth we
learn and in Age we Under-
stand." Mrs. Warren Zinn con-
ducted a quiz on birds, animals
and insects. Linda Blake and
Karen Dawson entertained with
games and sports for all. A

journeyed to Brussels on Labor
Day to participate in the soft-
ball tournament of the Y.P.U.
of Huron County. Ten teams
were entered and Nile came
out victorious. Other teams in-
cluded Belgrave, Auburn, White-
church, Brussels, Winthrop,
Moncrief, Crediton, Clinton and
Walton. According to the rules,
if a girl is at bat a girl pitches
to her, and if a boy is at bat,
a boy pitches. Pitchers for
Nile were: Donna McNee and
catcher. Other players were
