ETHEL MYRA CULE'BERT Mrs. Ethel Myra Culbert, 72,- 6f Walton, m'o'ther of Melbourne Culbert, proprietor of Culbert's Bakery., Goderich; died at. Wing - ham Hospital on Tuesday, April 9, after an illness of several months.` A daughter of the late James and Mary Barbour, she was born at St. Helen's on Janu- ary 12, 1891. In 1911, she was married to Frederick. Culbert. Surviving besides • her husband are three sons, Llewellyn of Stratford, Melbourrfe of Gode- rich, CIifford• of Georgetown, one. -daughter, Mrs. Robert (Effie) McNicol of Moncton, N. B., one sister, Mrs. Ben 'Wary) McClenaghan of White- church, two brothers, Elwood •f West Wawanosh and James Of *London, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The funeral service was held at Lucknow on April 12th and was conducted by Rev. A. Hig- foresters and an Orangeman; - In addition to his political activity here, Mr. Huckins was actively interested .in band music, having at one stage led _r boys' band of 52 members, later the Bluewater Band and alTe=a g-ir1si- -band, whin Took the championship at the Cana- dian National Exhibition one year. MACDONALD Death came suddenly to Bain Macdonald at his home to which he had returned a few days previously With his son-in-law asoffrey Lund -Tei - gen. He had suffereil several heart attacks in the past year. He had been in fair health the last fear months which he spent in Goderich. He was born at Kintail 74 years ago, the second ,son of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Macdonald, and with the exception of five Paul Soles, moderator of the panel program, Flashback, seen weekly on the CBC -TV network. years in Sarnia, spent his life in this community. In 1923 he married Martha Longley, who died in 1950. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Nelson' (Betty) Dorsch of New Ham- birg; Mrs. Ross (Flora) Thom- sori . of 1.1s nbu°rg; •••and° --Mrs: G. The resig- nation was accepted with° regret, and the members of the nomin- ating committee were asked to, take charge of the task of find- ing a new secretary. The supply secretary, Mrs. J. Thomson, asked that the con- tents of the Blessing boxes be brought to the May meeting. The allocation for supplies was raised "this year froth $28 to $38. The extra money is to take care of medical supplies and drugs for overseas and the missionary in India, Miss Ida White, Reg.N. The offering was received and dedicated' by the president, and a lovely Easter hymn was sung by Mrs, G. E.. Royal and Miss N. R: McEwen w ith , Mrs. rs. G. F,Milisaa accompanist. .
