Red Cross fund
May Attain
It's Objective
Although the local campaign
in aid of the Red Cross has
not yet been completed, 'it' ap-
pears the local' committee may
reach the objective of $2,2,90
provided 'anticipated donations
are forthcoming, according to
Mrs. Frank Curry, .ejxairnian.
About $1,500 has been raised
to date through the house-to-
house canvass conducted by vol-
unteer canvassers from the two
local chapters of the I.O.D.E.
The canvass involved 66 canvas-
sers plus six team captains.
Collections from some of the
local industries and commercial
houses have not as vet- been
completed; and one team cap-
tain is yet _to report, so it is
'hoped the objective may yet be
reached.
Those who were not contact-
ed during the canvass may still
contribute to the .Red Cross
fund by leaving their donations
at The Bedford Hotel.
A detailed report on the, re-
sults of the campaign will be
issued when the returns, are
completed.
