Elgin Regiment as well as-

The troop transport left Hali-
fax on August 22, 1942; for
England and when about 100
miles out from Halifax rammed
into a destroyer, U.S.S. Buck,

England with its load 'of sold-
iers, who went on to Aldershot.

car in a head-on crash near
Centralia Sunday, killing the
ear driver and slightly injuring
all 13 persons aboard the bus
including Archie Townsend of
Goderich. A. crane had to lift
the bus off the flattened auto.
