Hundreds of complex problems of 'supply and main-
tenance have been dealt AN-itb. daily as' the new 300 -bed
, Ontario Hospital, officially opened yesterday,was
groomed for the smooth efficient service to be &liven
patients who will soon be making it their home.
Located on a 300=acre plot of land about three miles
south of town on the Bayfield. road, the modern' new hos-
pital building; itself covering quite a 'few acres, gives
"TtTe outward sign of activity, beyond the occasional
goings and comings of staff members' cars and the oc-
(•asional bus. However; there's a 'busy little "town" in-a-
side_the, walls- and a hi n of \activity Lhat-i-s-trans€o-rm-i
blank rdnms and offiges.iuto a fully -equipped, furnisfied
--and ready -to -go mental hospital of the 'highest calibre.

The latest things in efficient equipment and
_furnishings have been installed in the food
preparation area of the new Ontario Hospital
kitchen}. This photo shows the vegetable prep-
aration area where as.. many as 35 bags .of
petatoes per week may be prepared when the
institution is running at capacity. Powered
potato peelers and vegetable cleaners are in-
stalled to • guarantee efficient ani sanitary
