November 7 in the council cham-
ber of the Town �1a11, covered
'a substantial amount of busi-
ness. Cases dealt with included
revision of assessments for var-
ious reasons, and changes of
school support. A number of
'business assessments wei e re-
duced or written off, in some
cases owing to firms discontinu-
ing business. ' •

Croft, Robert Squire and Joseph
Moody and Reeve W. Frank
Watkom present.
It was decided that J. Roth
field be advised that the Court
of Revision has considered his
request of October 17 and • in
-the opinion of the court the
property is not entitled to the
acancy loss referred to in. Sect.
131 of the Assessment Act.
That R. Weston be required ,
to submit proof of loss in con -1
nection with application for I
abatement of taxes due to fire
damage.
That Fred Riley's letter of
October 1 be acknowledged and
be advised Court of Revision has
been informed' the new tenant
at 145 Huron road has made
settlement direct.
That the following changes in
school support be made in the
,,,1962 "assessment roll:
Roll No. 3=161, lot 141 St.
David street, assessment of
.$1,550 changed from public
school support to. separate
school support (Mrs. Mary Mac-
. ° lsaren).
Roll N'o. 4-18, lot 7 Huron
road assessment of $1,525 from
separate school to • public. Mr.
• and Mrs. Albert Goetz -- Ken
Dunn.
" It was' decided towrite off
accounts totalling $608.93 from
the collector's roll for 1962,
being business assessments of
firms going out of business. ;

7, the Court of Revision con -1
vened again with Councillor R.
C. Hays presiding and. Coun-
-cillors K. Croft, J. Moody, Reeve
F. Walkom in attendance;
A. A. Alexander, county as-
sessor, E. H. Jessop, town asses-

citor, were also present. !

Harold Shore requested that

Crescent has not been opened
and services provided. The ap-
peal was dismissed • and the as-
sessment confirmed.
• Roy Breckenridge advised that
lots 119 and 121 Wilson street
were not used in connection
with his' business at Harbour -
lite Inn, and requested the lots
be assessed as residential, and
not be included in the com-
mercial assessment. The appeal
was sustained, with the land
assessment being reduced $150,
,two lots changed from com-
mercial to residential, business
assessment reduped $150, bring-
ing the tb`tal to $13425.
George Baechler advised he
has sold part of lot 333 Piston
street arid requested a reduction
in assessment. The appeal was
sustained with a reduction, of
$100. An additional appeal
regarding a Park street • pro-
perty was dismissed.
An appeal by W. H. Robert-
son regarding 126 Victoria
street was dismissed at his re-
quest.
A balance of $3767 business
talc assessed Herco Sales Co.,
- Brock street, was 'written off.
