Dungannon, took over and ran
events off smoothly.

Hick to Albert Roy Oke was
solemnized October 3, 1917 at
Chestnut Farm, Goderich Town-
ship, home of the bride's par-
ents,' Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hick.
The bridal couple resided in
Goderich Township until a, year
ago when they --moved to Gode-
rich.
Clayton Edward, nephew of
Mrs. Oke acted as toastmaster
at Saturday's celebration, pro-
posing a toast to the bride of
45 years. After an appropriate
reply by _ Mr. Oke, 'Mr. Allan
Walker, of Hamilton, toasted
his nephew and the bride of
nine years to which Bud Oke
replied. '
Some 35 guests were present
at the celebration, those from
a distance coming from Sarnia,
Hamilton, Windsor and. St.
Catharines. The evening con-
cluded with cards and `convers-
ation.

4-H Club
Mary Lou Henry was hostess
at her home for the girls' 4-I1
Club meeting on September,
28th. Lynda Young read the
minutes and the roll gall was
answered by -"a raw vegetable
I could take to school or work."
Demonstrations., of scalloped
tomatoes- and cabbage -- and
potato soup were given and
these dishes tasted. Raisin
bread with cheez-whiz, brownies
and freshie were served. ' The
next meeting will be on Octo-
•ber 12th at the home of Patsy
Anderson at 8'p.m.
. Silver Anniversary
In celebration of the silver
wedding anniversary of Mr. and
Mrs. Leonard Crawford, Wing -
ham, an open houuse was held
at their home • on Saturday
evening and on Sunday a fam-
ily dinner party was enjoyed
at Tiger Dunlop Inn: The bride
of 25 years is the former Evelyn
Culbert, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. W. A. Culbert and her
husband is the son of Mrs. Will
Crawfordand the late William
Crawford, Port Albert. Present
for the occasion were the bridal'
attendants,Mrs. Earl Sherwood,
Carlow, a sister of Mrs. Craw-
ford, and Ernest Crawford, Port
Albert, brother of the groom.
Also present were Earl Sher-
wood and Mrs. Ernest Craw-
ford; their sons, Bob and Bill
Crawford, Wingham; Mr. and
