Green' away, of Toronto, are guests this week with Mr. and Mrs. Gordon R. Taylor. • Mrs. Harry Phalen, of Acton, visited on Monday with ; her father, Mr. Russel King, and Mrs. King. Mr. and Mrs. Amos Andrew and Miss Ethel Washington, of Goderich, visited on Sunday evening with Mrs. Charles Straughan. -The annual Bible Society meeting will be held in the Baptist Church on Sunday even- ing, October 7th at 7.30: p.m: The -district secretary, J. C. Thompson, will be the guest speaker and show slides on the' work in Korea. Mrs. Ida. Pratt, of Brownsville, and Mrs. Kate Robinson, of Wingham, visited last week with Mr. and Mrs. William J. Craig, 'and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Chazn- ney. . Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Davies visited friends in Ingersoll and London over the week -end. Reception For Newlyweds A • large crowd attended the reception for Mr. and Mrs. Bar- rie Turner held last Friday evening in the Community Memorial Hall. Music was en- joyed to Elgin Fisher's orch- estra, of Goderich, with Glen Patterson as + floor manager. During the intermission, Ken- neth Haggitt read an address of congratulations and 13111 An- drews presented them with a purse of money on behalf of those present. Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. George Lawlor recently celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in G.alt with a family reunion hekl there.
