The Port Albert U.C.W. met at
the home of Mrs. C. Filigland,
Wingham, for their meeting.
Mrs. M. Dickson presided, com-
mencing with prayer. Scrip-
thre reading taken from Acts
was given by the president.
Thank you cards and five shut-
in visits were reported. Plans
for the October Thankoffering
were made. Two U.C.W. mem-
bers were elected to the com-
mittee for Christian Education
under the supervision of Rev.
N. L. Gostonyi. They were Mrs.
D. McKenzie and Mrs. M. Dick-
son. Mrs. Fingland had as a
guest, Mrs. Tiffin, who is presi-
dent of the Huron Presbyterial.
The study' book was read by
Mrs. Dickson. Mrs. Tiffin clos-
ed the meeting, with prayer.
Lunch was served by the hostess
and an enjoyable time was

United Church Women was held
September 18 at the Donny-
brook United Church. Mrs.
Gordon Naylor had charge of
the program. Mrs. John Hilde-
rbrand read the Scripture les-
son, John 5:1•17. Psalm 738
was °read in unison. Mrs. Ed-
ward Robinson gave a reading,
"Patient Hands." After sing-
ing "Faith of our Fathers," Mrs.
Sam Thompson read the chap-
ter in the study hook. Mrs.
William Hardy read a poem,
"Smiles." Mrs. Thompson had
charge of the business session.
Clothing for the fall bale is, tcr
be broug,htA6 the next meeting
and a bazaar' is to be held to
pay expenses ,on the bate for
overseas. "Thank you" notes
were read. Mrs. Stuart Cham-
vey read the minutes of the
previous meeting. Faye Hilde-
brand and, Joyce .Charnney re-
ceived the offering. After sing-
ing "Rescue the perishing,"
Mrs. Naylor closed the meeting
with the benediction. Mrs.
Wesley Jefferson was hostess
for the meeting, assisted by
Mrs. Hillard Jefferson and Mrs.
Margaret Leddy.

present, met Monday night. in
the church led by Patricia Eedy,
past president. Mrs. Herb Fin-

electiou of officers which re-
sulted as follpws: President,
Diane Errington; vice-president,
Doreen Culbert; seeretary, Bon -

Four girls, Betty Irvin, Diane

week at camp this summer, giv-
ing an outline of the schedule

ing they advised 'all girls to
make an effort to attend the
church camp next year. The
