Unique rAuilding
Strategically located at the.
junction of Highways a ajid 21,
the ulfra-modern building is a
unique tri -sided glass structure.
This unusual design was spec."
ially created by architects
Rounthwaite ant: Associates of
Toronto te suit the triangular-
shaped building lot. The three
curved cantilivered walls ap-
pear to. float ever a centinuous
double-giazed window wall from
ground level to 7'6" high. The
retnarkable feature of this en-
tirely new concept architec-
tural design is that no portion
of these walls is supported from
the ground. Walls, are con-
structed of Indiana white lime-
stone.
From the start the building
was planned so it will,be con-
venient and comfortable: Com-
pletely -encircled by 'double
glazed plate glass, the oflice
will always be bright. Curtain°
ing of a soft handwoven fabric
will ensure privacy without de-
stroying the friendiy transpar.
ency of the building. Entrance
can be made via double doors
off both Elgin avenue and King
ston street Considerable park-
ing area Js available in spec-
ially prepared parking -bays on_
both these streets. Air condi-
tioning throughout will make
the building a pleasant place
to visit even in the heat of
summer. The ultimate of secur-
ity for those doing business 'at
the new Goderich branch is en-
su'red by a massive vault centr-
ed deep in the' building. This
