DUNLOP. --Mr. and Mrs. An-
drew Bogie4 were special guests
last Sunday at a large barbecue
luncheen party given by the
Bogie's Beach Property Associ-
.ation, on the spacious lawns .of
the Swanton summer -estate.
Retiring from .their farm life
son September • 1st, to become
;town -dwellers, the Bogies were
especially honored as founders
of this. resort area, on the shores
of lovely Lake Huron, 30 years
ago; in which time it has be-
come a private community' of
some SO-cottagers and their
families, from various parts of
the United States and the Pro-
vince of Ontario.
This gathering was also par-
ticularly marked as the first
annual meeting of the Bogie's
Beach Property Association,
formed in August: 1961. On
behalf of its members, Mr..Ad-
rian Swanton, eloquently ex-
pressed appreciation for the as
sistance the Bogies . had rend-
ered each cottager in becoming
established, all .down the years,
and, presented a generous gift
of cash to purchase a remem-
brance for their new" home. In
responding, also for his wife,
Mr. Bogie thanked the mem-
bers and• their visitors for their
graciousness and the inspira-
tion "their friendships had
brought. Regretting the pend -
severance -of--the close xe-
latiotiships, Mr. Bogie ' pro-
claimed their hope that the
happy experiences ' wquld be
continued with frequent visits
fromthe members after they
are settled in their new resid-
ence, on Widder street, Gode-
rich.

to call on the bereaved, lonely,
sick- and newcomers with an
invitation to' come to church.
One group suggested not to
Overdress in too much :finery,
so that those visited would be
made to feel inferior. Mrs.

up all the points, and closed
the meeting with a prayer writ
ten by a shut -hi member.
