Ilistogeuetic Medicine Association :
On`rtatmcs, wishing to testify to the su-
perior merits of IIistogenetie nedieine for the
cure of long disease, I submit the following
statement : Two years age I'found myself. as
a result of exposure to cold and wet weather,
taking frequent colds. 1 took a severe cough
and got run down in vitality and had several
spells of hemorrhage of the lungs. I coughed
a greatdeal in the morning and some during
the night. I consulted two orrhree nbysioians
one very clever Toronto physician. He treated
me without medicine, by hand -rubbing. and
did mo oonsidereble good. but in the eourso of
time the hemorrhage returned
Two of the physicians s consulted considered
mine a serious ease. and one of them gave me
to understand it hopeless, and I have no doubt
that consumption would soon have caused nil
death. I heard about the now system of meds=
oine. and consulted Dr. Rear at the head office
for Canada09 Young Street Market. who ex-
amine a me very thoroughly, and thought His-
togenetic temidies would mire me in about six
weeks. I commenced taking the medicine
abuut San lst. In two weeks tbo cough and
breathing were better. The amount of sputa
rapidly lessened. Thera was considerable
bronchitis and it soon disappeared. My strength
came again with astonishing rapidity and:the
rapid breathing disappeared. I have not had
any hemorrhage since the first lot of medicine
was taken. I have gained steadily in the body
generally es well as the lungs, and feel almost
as well as I ever did. I can walk fast now, or
do anything in a burry, and not get rapid
breathing or palpitation. I am now following
my usual employment and min stand any kind
of weather. It is the best treatment for the
lungs I have ever known. I can conscientiously
recommend it to my friends and acquaintances
who
mayneed lung treatment as far superior
to any other system, Sincerely._
M. HAnnoyD.

ORITuAny: -One by one the pioneers of
our community are safely Iaunohine thoir
barks in the calm celestial harbor,. Through
the uncertainty of life we are this week
forced to chronicle the demise of George
Fletcher, one of the oldest and moat highly
respected farmers of Fullerton. bit.
Fletcher was a native of Yorkshire Eng.,
baying emigrated to Canada when a mere
youth. With indomitable pluok and perse-
verance he entered the wild and unbroken
forest, cleared a site for his shanty, con-
structing the same and commenced the
formidable teak of chopping and clearing
his farm,Itwhich systematic cultivation and
a thorough practical knowledge of agricul-
ture afterwards rendered it one of the choic-
est farms in the surrounding townships,
Mr. Fletcher had beheld fair Canada in
many political struggles and was guided by
a keen conception or right in always
staunchly supporting one who is now enjoy-
ing a well-earned repose, Though not a
religious entbusiast, the deceased was so.
oastomed to attend provisional means of
grace in the Anderson sanctuary, and exem-
plified a oleander which for honesty, up-
rightness, generosity and active virtue,
might well be imitated by the rising gener-
ations. Tha deceased leaves two sons and
one daughter, Mrs, John Mills, of Manitoba,
to mourn the lose of a grateful parent. A
Iarge number of eympathizing friends fol.
Iowed the remains to Kirkton cemetery on
Tuesday afternoon to pay the last tribute of
respect to one so universally esteemed.

of utir village has been materially increased.
Mrs. A. L. Bertrand presented her husband
with a baby girl, and bird. Geo. Holtzman,
jr,, outdid her by presenting Mr. Holtzman
with twins (a boy and a girl.) It is needless
to say that George feels tickled over the
affair. -On Monday last Wm. H Kerr was
joined by the holy bonds of Wedlock to Miss
Mary, eldest daughter of John Taylor. The
ceremony was performed st the residence of
the bride's parents by the Bev. R. Redmond
before a few friends and relatives of the
contracting parties. The happy couple left,
in tho evg. for Chicago, where they will
make their future home, carrying with
them the best wishes of their numerous
friends here. -Your correspondent is greatly
amused at the communioation from here
signed"Reader" which was published in
last weak's paper. Judging from the tenor
of the letter we should imagine the writer
to be no one else than the bailiff bimeel!, or
perchance some one who knows nothing
whatever of the affair. " Reader" seems fo
think thea hogs running at large in a village
are no nuisance. 11 ouch is the case then
of course your correspondent made a mis•
take, but we think that public opinion will
bear us out in this point. He also finds
fault with the parties who impounded the
hogs and calls them loafers. Just here is
where be displays a greai deal of ;ignorance
as everyone in the vicinity knows who the
parties were and•tbat they did not drive the
hogs to the pound stable for the sake of a
few cents or drinks as "Reader" insinuates ;
but they did so in older to be rid of the
nuisance on the streets, nor were these
parties glad to leave the hogs out of pound
as that was a matter between the keeper and
the owner jof the hove; 'We reiterate our
former statement and maintain that the
hoga were not on their way home when
driven to the pound tbe second time, and
that the owner did ask legal advice (not
necessarily a lawyer) before again liberating
the hogs. Doss "Reader" imagine that
hogs may be lett tanning as large on the
streets p If so, be bad better read the tp
