ceremonies at fine annual dance
recital presented .by the Gude-,
rich and Toronto pupils of Maria
de Kurthy at the Goderich Col-
legiate Auditorium 'on Saturday,
June 23, at 8 p.m.
The first part of 'the program
will consist of ballet bar work,
tap dancing numbers, plus some
outstanding work done by the
older pupils.
In the second part of the
program, the pupils %yill portray
by ballet, the fairy 'tale of John
the Knight. Gail will unfold in
detail the story of each act..
The story centres around Iluska,
an orphan (danced by Lynda
Baechler). and the opening scene
is one of happiness, showing
gay and carefree children danc-
ing in the village street. But
sadness soon strikes when it
is discovered that Iluska, who
lives with her stepmother, .a
witch (danced by Joan. Curry)
is not allowed to join the other
children. Janos (danced by Bea
Szollosy) loves Iluska and though
later on, she dies, it is seen in
Act II that Janos remains_ true
to her memory and refuses a
bribe from the French King to
marry one of tile princesses.
In Act III Janos visits the

Bus Tours Here
On. The Increase
,Bus tours of the Goderich
district are increasing in popu-
larity as the summer weather
comes into its own. Two large
Charter -ways buses arrived in
Goderich, Tuesday, June 12th,
carrying a party of -74 members
of the. Senior Citizens Friend-
ship Club, of London.
hi 'charge of the group was
Mrs. Edith Young, club presi-
dent. The recent visit was the
direct outcome of a previous
visit to the Huron County Pion-
eer Museum, by Mrs. Young,
during 1961. Mrs. Ydung " was
so impressed by , the' museum
eXhibits that .she recommended
Goderich as the next tour area

tide party bused out to the W. A.
Sheaffer Pen plant for a tour
of the modern factory. Upon
their return they spent con-
siderable time at the harbor and
finally congregated in Harbor
Park for a picnic' lunch before
returning to London.

C. E. and Mrs. Taylor. helped:;
arrange details..at the Goderich
end prior to the. day of the tour.

social.' gathering. Helping at

ing accessories, and carried pink
carnations on .a blue lace back-
ground,
Another. sister, Miss Rita Law,
as senior bridesmaid,' chose a
bouffant gown of blush pink
