week -end at- the home of her
son Jack at Markdale.
IVIr. and Mrs. J. D. Hesson;
Stratford, spent a day last week
with Misses Nettie and Rebina
Sproul. Miss Clara Sproul re-
turned home with them.
Visitors for four days last
weeks with Mrs. W. Stafford
were three lady friends, Mrs.
John Bales, Mrs. Earl Bales
and Mrs. ` Arthur Brown, of
Willowdale.
Mrs. Rich. Finnigan and dau-
ghters', Mrs. Olive Culbert and
Misses' Myrtle . and Christine
Finnigan, of Godefich, and Mr.
Benson Finnigan, 4th conces-
sion of ,West Wawanosh, visited
Sunday With Mr. and Mrs. Herb
Finnigan.
Born, June 9, to Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Vokes, Montreal,
a son. Congratulations!
Mrs. W. A. Culbert returned
home last week following treat-
ment at Victoria Hospital; Lon-
don.
Mr. and Mrs. David Reid, of
Winnipeg, have dome to live in
Dungannon where their son

Sister Dies
Mrs.. Esther Rivett rece veli a
telegram from her twin aster,
Mrs. Myrtle Smith, of Ladner,
B.G., telling of the death of
their, eldest sister, Mrs. George
Nelson, on June 12th, caused
by a stroke. Mr. and Mrs. Nor-
man Rivett and children re-
turned last week from a motor
trip out to the coast where they
,enjoyed a family reunion with
them. at which time she was
quite well. Mrs. Nelson was in
her Oarly seventies.
Death of Fred Morris
Mr. R. J. Durgin' and daugh-
ter Flora received word from
Miss Connie Morris, London,
of the death of her father, Fred
Morris, of London, formerly of
the 4th concession of Ashfield.
He had not enjoyed good health
for some tune. The '.funeral
was held Monday morning at
10 o'clock from Logan's funeral
home, London. Miss Connie
Morris is the only survivor.
Mrs. Richard Park, Sr. ''
Mrs. Richard Park, sr., form:,
erly Margaret Ann Reid, of the
4th concession of Ashfield, pass-
ed away at , Victoria Hospital,
London, early Monday -morning
in her 81st year. She was trans-
ferred there about six weeks
ago from Wingham hospital
with a broken hip suffered from
a fall in March. She was, mar-
ried 54 years ago to Richard
Park, son of the late Mr. John
Park and Mary West Park, of
St. Helens. Surviving `besides
her husband are three daugh-
ters and three sons: M. frow-
ard- (Edna) Black; Mrs, Arthur
(Mary) , Stewart; Mrs. Kenneth
(Beth) Hodges; Ben, of Ashfield,
and John and Richard, of' Dun-
gannon; 27 grandchildren and
six great-grandchildren; two
sisters, Mrs. Will (Lizzie) Beg-
ley, Learnington, and 'Mrs. Ma-
son (Mary) 'McAllister. Two
brothers, Robert, Port • Elgin,
aid John, of Ashfield, prede-
ceased hbr. The body is rest-
ing at the McKenzie -McLennan
funeral . bome, LuFknow, where
the -service will be held 'ed-
nesday at 2.30 .p -m. in, =charge
of •Rev. Roderick McLeod, min-
ister- of Erskine Presbyterian
Church, Dungannon.. Inter-
ment in Dungannon cemetery.
