Mrs. Abner Morris,, 85
Congratulations to Mrs. Ab-
ner Morris, who, on Friday, ob-
served her 85th birthday: Since
corning to the village 17 years
ago she has completed the mak-
ing of 859 braided rugs. She
had also made 38 before coming
to the village. She says it has
been her hobby but not always
an easy cone, as during that time
she has broken both her hands.
However, she :is still going
strong! Those from a distance
who dropped in to see her were

designed favors. Mrs. Colin
Fingland, wife of •the church's
lay minister, said the grace.. The
Sigma C boys waitedtable under
the guidance of two older boys
and with the help of four ladies
in the kitchen, Mrs. Herb Fin-
nigan proposed the toast to the
Queen following a sing -song led
by Eleanor Alton, Joanne Croz-
ier and Lynda Blake, with Mrs.
Durnin Philips at the piano.
Mrs. Finnigan introduced the
head table. A welcome was
extended to the mothers to
which Mrs. Robert Irvin replied.
