GRANDSON' IS . KILLED-
CROSStNG THE HIGHWAY
Six -year. -old Michael' Phillip
Rivett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Al-
bert Rivett, K.R. 1, Staffordville,
Ontario, was killed while cross-
ing Highway No. "10 near . his
home Saturday morning.
Surviving, besides his parents,
are —a sister, Fiena Ann, at
' home, grandparents, Mr. 'and
Mrs: George Rivett, of Goderich,
and Mr. and Mrs.'Ralph Bird, of
England.' •
Police stated that the boy had
crossed -the road to pick up mail
and, in returning, ran. from be-
hind t ier's--ear .an
was struck by a car driven by
Huntley' Reginald Chisholm, 21,
of °St. Thomas. Mr. Chisholm
with a companion,. W. B. Gra-
ham, 22, also of St. Thomas,
were returning from an eai }y
• morning fishing trip.. •
Officers of the Tillsonburg
0.P.P. inyestigaced the accident.
The funeral service was held
Monday afternoon from the H.
'A. Ostrander tuneral 'home," Til-
lsonburg, followed by interment
in Guysboro cemetery.
