Miss gligabetli White. Their
gowns were of blush pink em-,
brpidered organdy over blush
pink taffeta, fashioned with boll
skirts, bateau necklines , and
elbow -length sleeves. They car-
ried nosegays, of pink roses with
blue forget-the-nots and sweet -
peas , shading from pink to
purple.
Donald Paget was best Man,
and ushers were Peter C., John.
son, Alan Pounsett and Peter
A. White.
Following a reception at
Adams Honse, the couple left on
a wedding trip to Jamaica. They
will live in Leaside.
Mrs. W. P. Abell, of Goderich,
grandmother of the groom, was
a guest at the wedalog.
DIES IN WEST
The death occurred at Regina
of Edwin A. Kilpatrick, of
Ogema, t askatchewan, on. March
29 in his 73rd year. He was
a brother of Milton Kilpatrick,
of Goderich. ' Son of the late
Mr. and Mrs. John Kilpatrick,
he, was born on a farm in Ash-
field Tow ship. When he went

young man he taught
school t Bures, seven miles
north of Ogema, tater, he was
in the bakery business and fin-
ally was Town Clerk of Ogema.

Easter lilies, ferns and daffodils,
and candelabra with lighted
tapers, was the scene, on Satur;
day afternoon, of the marriage
of Agnes Marie Black and Don:
aid Meredith Young. Rev, Wil-
fred Wright, of Lucknbw, per-
formed the double-rinq cere-
mony. The bride is the aaugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Black,
R.R. 1, Port Albert, and the
groom is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Meredith Young, R.R. 3,
Auburn. Mrs. Fred McQuillin,•
of Lueknow, presided at the
organ.
Given in marriage by her fath-
er, the bride wore a waltz -length
gown of silk organza styled on
princess lines with lily -point
sleeves. Embroidered jewelled
motifs enhanced the neckline
and the bouffant skirt. Her el-
bow -length veil of silk illusion,
with embroidered edge, was
held by a drop -crystal tiara and
she carried 4 white, lace -cover-
ed Bible crested with a mauve
orchid and trailing lily of' the
valley. Her only ornament was
a matched pearl necklace, and
earring. set, the gift of the
groom.
Miss Joyce Matthews, of Nile,
was bridesmaid wearing a tur-
quoise silk organza dress fa6h-
ioned: with a bouffant skirt and
lace bodice. Her 'accessories
were white and she carried an
arrangement of yellow mums.

wore an organdy dress in a
gold shade with a headdress of
white misty tulle caught with
flowers. She carried a nosegay
of pale gold baby 'mums. The
groom's 'nephew, Douglas Popp
of Blyth, was ringbearer.
Groomsman was Laurence
Black, of R.R. 1, Port Albert
and Lorne ,popp, of Blyth, bro-
ther-in-law of the . groom, and
John Black, R.R. 1, Port Albert,
brother of the bride; ushered.

CHURCH WOMEN MEET
The monthly meeting of Unit
1, United Church Women, Vic-
toria Street United Church, was
held in the churchparlor, April
23rd, with 23 present.
Mrs. V. 'Larder gave the call
to worship.. •
In a setting of the Cross and
daffodils, Mrs. L. Feagan led in,
the devotion. A hymn was
quietly played ,while the •mem-
bers read each verse silently.
Prayer was offered. The Scrip -
Receiving the guests -at St. ture was read responsively and
"We sing the praiSe of Him who
died"'vtas sung. One hymn was
repeated as a prayer.
'Various reports were read.
Eva and Sylvia Dierolf favor-
ed with a violin duet, .accom-
panied by Annette MacCrostie.
It was planned for Miss Eva
Somerville to show her slides
on Jerusalem on May 9th.
The Bible study on Corinth
was given by Miss. E. Bamford.
Scripture was read from three
Bible versions followed by dis-
cussion and questions and an-
swers with a conclusion "Gifts
of the Spirit; the greatest is
Love."
The meeting closed with
prayer.
