ed last Friday -night at Blake's
hall at a party and presentation
in honor of their recent mar-
riage. Pictures were shown on
the screen of Rev, and Mrs. G.
Kiaser's Western trip taken this
past summer. Bill Andrew read
an address and on behalf of
those present, Barry Kilpatrick
presented them with an electric
kettle, steam iron and an elec-
tric clock.

Seven Dungannon Fruit Las-
sies met for their fourth lesson,
Thursday, October 5th, at Mrs.
Hugh McWhinpey's home. Betty
Irvin, president, opened the
meeting and Charon. Stewardson
read the minutes. A contest
naming. 23 varieties of apples
was enjoyed. An upside down
cake using canned peaches was
demonstrated and later served
with the fruit cup, which the
girls learned to prepare. Re-
cord books were checked and
the Institnte grace sung before
lunch.

The sudden death of Mr. Alex
Johnston, of St. Charles, in the
Sudbury district, came as a dis-
tinct shock to relatives and
friends here. He was the vie -

auxiliary's attention was also
